It’s being reported that a new cast member appearing on RHOBH in season 5 has quite a past. Eileen Davidson had a “passionate relationship” with an A-list movie star who’s also the father of Angelina Jolie. The soap opera actress once dated Jon Voight.
Eileen, who just joined Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, dated Voight in the late 80s. The two attended the 1989 Peoples Choice Awards together. A source says Davidson was hoping to get away from doing soap operas and hoped her romance with Voight would be a stepping stone, but it wasn’t. She even starred with him the 1991 film, Eternity, with Armand Assante.
An insider tells Radaronline:
“Eileen and Jon had a very passionate relationship. She had always hoped to break away from a career in soap operas, and thought Jon could help.”
The Young and the Restless actress was in her early 30s when she dated Voight, who was in his early 50s at the time.
As Radaronline adds in its headline, Eileen Davidson could have been “Angelina Jolie’s step-mother.”
The insider shares that Eileen didn’t have a lot to do with Jolie.
“The relationship ran its course, and she had no involvement with Jon’s kids, Angelina, and James Haven.”
Davidson was married one year to actor Christopher Mayer, whom she married in 1985. In 1997, she married Jon Lindstrom and they divorced in 2000. She’s now married to professional tennis player, Vincent Van Patten.
A few weeks ago it was announced that Eileen had signed on as one of the new cast members of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. The daytime star of both The Young and the Restless and Days of Our Lives isn’t the only newcomer to RHOBH. Lisa Rinna, former daytime actress and current reality TV, star will also appear in season 5 with the regular cast that includes Lisa Vanderpump, Kyle Richards, Kim Richards, Brandi Glanville, and Yolanda Foster.
Coming on as one of this year’s newbies on the show, Davidson signed on as the highest-paid new cast member in the Real Housewives franchise, as also reported by Us Weekly. She’ll be making a salary of $750,000 to start. Not even the regular cast make that. Most of them will bring in $500,000 — and that’s including the fact the women just got raises. Davidson has a huge fan base and that adds to her value to Bravo.
Maybe the newest Real Housewives star’s wasn’t able to launch into the film industry, but she signed on to one of the most popular reality shows on television. Apparently, she feels RHOBH is a good place to be!
