Evan Rachel Wood Loses Tooth in Paris Nightclub

…but frankly, the incident could not be nearly as painful as having to watch the actress’ labored, high-school play like delivery of lines as Queen of Louisiana Sophie Anne LeClerq on True Blood, amirite?

Just before her 24th birthday, Evan Rachel Wood was out partying at a Paris nightclub when the dental damage occurred. Reports indicate Wood was dancing at the time of the incident and an unexpected elbow to the mouth was the cause of the knocked-out tooth, if you believe it. (Do you believe it?)

E! spoke directly with a rep for Wood, who is sticking with the dangerous dancing story:

Woods rep confirmed to E! News that the starlet fell afoul of a fellow dancers’ flailing moves and took an errant elbow to the face, which resulted in both the fat lip and in her tooth getting knocked clear out… According to the rep, the actress—who is currently in Europe making the promotional rounds for Ides of March, her new flick with George Clooney and Ryan Gosling—has already met with a dentist to get a replacement tooth.

The rep did not offer up details as to which tooth was affected by the blow, how extensive the injury was or if the tooth would be replaced before Wood had to make any other appearances for the movies she’s promoting. In addition to her recently ended stint on HBO’s True Blood, Wood has starred in the films 13 and the big-screen adaptation of the popular Augusten Burroughs novel Running With Scissors.
