Brooke Burke ‘DWTS’: Abrupt ‘DWTS’ Dismissal Changed Burke’s Life… For The Better

Brooke Burke recently opened up about DWTS and how she felt when she learned that she had been dropped as the show’s co-host. According to USA Today, Burke was just as shocked as Dancing With The Stars fans when she learned that she was going to be replaced before last season began.

Despite being on the show since 2008, producers decided that it was time for a change, and Burke was given the news without much warning. The actress was later replaced by former DWTS contestant and sportscaster, Erin Andrews — another surprising move. Andrews, though a little rough around the edges of the ballroom, has already been asked to come back for another season.

Brooke Burke says her DWTS departure was actually a blessing in disguise, mainly because she has been able to do so many things over the past year.

“This forced me to turn the page and create new opportunities for myself. I’m dabbling in a lot of different things. I just finished doing a couple of episodes of Melissa & Joey, and by the time this issue hits the stands, I may be on another show! I also have a new athletic-wear line, Caelum. Ultimately, leaving the ballroom may be the best choice I never made.”

Brooke Burke is missed on DWTS, but her fans are happy to know that she has moved on and that she is doing well. The 43-year-old mother of four looks stunning on the cover and in the spread of Shape Magazine. And in case you were wondering how she manages to stay so fit… she works out. According to People Magazine, Burke has found some time to teach a Booty Burn cardio and sculpting class — something she says has become a “healthy addiction.”

“We’re addicted and obsessed—but in the healthiest way possible. I truly feel better than ever.”

As previously reported by The Inquisitr, there was a lot of pressure put on Erin Andrews when she joined Dancing With The Stars. Many wondered if the show had lost its luster at the time, and if Erin would be able to help bring the show back. Evidently she did okay, and the show is coming back for another season in the fall… so it’s all good. Everything worked out for Erin… and everything worked out for Brooke Burke-Charvet.
