Justin Timberlake Gives Back: One Hundred Locals To Work On Upcoming Concert

Justin Timberlake has been touring for nearly two years to support his double-disc album, The 20/20 Experience. Throughout his time on the road, the “Mirrors” crooner has impressively managed to receive extremely positive reviews from critics in every nation he visits. Now, Timberlake is giving back to locals.

Mbl.is reports that Timberlake is set to stop for a concert in Kópavogi, Iceland, and he is asking one hundred locals for a helping hand to kick off his show. From artists to technicians, assistants, security and traffic controllers, one hundred locals of Kópavogi will fill positions alongside an additional four hundred on Timberlake’s staff.

In total, five hundred people will work on the show that will take place on August 8.

This is a special event for Iceland. A concert organizer from Sena, Ísleifur B. Þórhallsson, mentioned that Justin Timberlake’s The 20/20 Experience show is the most extensive to take place in Nordic nation. Additionally, this will be the first time Timberlake has played a show in the country. The concert is also significant for Timberlake because the show is scheduled to broadcast worldwide via Live National’s channel on Yahoo.

Aside from Justin fulfilling his commitment to Yahoo! Live show, other artists signed up for the original series include Kiss and Dave Matthews Band. Each original concert from a roster of popular and well-known musicians from many different musical genres will be streamed for 365 days. This is just one event that Yahoo! is bringing to their original web content.

As stated, Justin has been touring for nearly two years, and it’s been a great run for the singer turned actor. Recently, we reported on the successful show Timberlake had in New Orleans.

According to New Orleans’ Times-Picayne, fans and critics alike were pleased with the singer’s showmanship.

“Timberlake’s brand of entertainment… is all about polish and pizzazz; he’s a 21st century song-and-dance man, big on showmanship, slick moves and audience love.”

It’s not a surprise that the artist is receiving such positive reviews. In addition to a non-stop performance of all of his hits, Justin also delivers covers of songs that all generations will recognize. Throughout his tour, he has delivered fantastic renditions of Elvis Presley’s “Heartbreak Hotel,” Michael Jackson’s “Human Nature,” Kool & the Gang’s “Jungle Boogie,” Bell Biv DeVoe’s “Poison,” and during a special show, he revived his earlier years in the industry by taking on Nsync’s hit “Gone,” which is the song that sparked the interest in Timberlake going out on his own as a solo artist.
