Katy Perry Announces She ‘Doesn’t Need A Dude’ To Have Kids

When it comes to the musical landscape today, one of its biggest stars is easily Katy Perry. Ever since she took a darker direction with her music career – especially with her songs Wide Awake and Dark Horse – more people have been interested in the former bubble-gum pop star. We here at The Inquisitr reported numerous times on up-to-date news on her life, her music, gossip, and of course her opinion. Speaking of opinions, Katy has said some interesting things such as Kim Kardashian having a “plastic butt” and her desire to join the Illuminati.

Now reports are coming in that Katy Perry is wants to have children. The unique condition is that she “doesn’t need a dude” to get it done too.

According to an article by Entertainmentwise, Katy Perry will want to have children when the time is right. Previously, she was married to comedian Russell Brand. Earlier this year, she split up from her last relationship with John Mayer. Now there are rumors that she is dating DJ Diplo, but she’s made it clear she’s enjoying the single life and is counting on technology to get her pregnant if Mr. Right doesn’t come along when it comes time for her to venture into parenthood. She verified this in an interview with Rolling Stone when she said the following:

“I don’t need a dude. It’s 2014! We are living in the future, we don’t need anything. I don’t think I’ll have to, but we’ll see. I’m not anti-men. I love men. But there is an option if someone doesn’t present himself.”

It is also reported that her sudden desire for children in the future stems off of becoming an aunt for the first time back in 2012. Still, she did make it clear that she is not ready for the experience of being a mother because of business as in her statement:

“I see that my sister is completely devoted to [her] kid, 24 hours a day. I want to be doing that in the right time, and that’s not in the next two years, you know? Maybe it’s in a five-year plan.”

ABC News reported, in their article, that Katy Perry is still promoting her latest album Prism and said the rigors of the music industry aren’t conductive just yet for her to have children. Summarized, she doesn’t want to mix her business of her music industry for her devotion to have children, something that does happen between popular parents and their children at times.

We would like to know what you all think. Do you think Katy Perry would make a good mother with or without a man in her life to be the father? Is she thinking intelligently by putting her career first before children? Should it be that children (and possibly a relationship) are more important at this point in her career?
