Kaley Cuoco Could Become TV’s Highest Paid Actress

Kaley Cuoco’s new Big Bang Theory contract could make her one of TV’s highest-paid actresses. Cuoco, along with co-stars Jim Parsons and Johnny Galecki, will reportedly be raking in a $700,000 raise per episode with Warner Brothers in her new three-year contract – bringing her pay to a staggering $1 million per episode.

According to Forbes, Kaley’s new salary will raise her into the ranks of the highest-paid TV actors. In 2013, she was the second highest-paid television actress, ranking just below Modern Family’s Sofia Vergara.

Cuoco’s reported $24 million a season for her role on Big Bang isn’t the only reason for her high-ranking status. She is already out-earning her co-stars thanks to film roles and contracts to make television commercials with companies such as Toyota and Priceline. Her new contract with Warner Brothers also provides a bigger cut of other aspects of the show, including syndication deals, increasing her salary even more. The earnings will put her in the company of high-dollar TV actresses such as Vergara and Marska Hargitay.

Contract negotiations delayed the filming of the upcoming season of Big Bang when the actors portraying the show’s central characters demanded significant raises. The show, which centers on roommates Sheldon (Parsons) and Leonard (Galecki), and their neighbor Penny (Cuoco) is TV’s highest rated comedy, according to The NY Daily News. More than 20 million viewers tune in each week to watch the geeky pair and their friends. With CBS and Warner Brothers anxious to keep their cash-cow, Kaley could afford to hold out for the big bucks– she is one of the hottest actresses today, dominating celebrity headlines and social media. Instagram photos, such as this one shared by Inquisitr, of her horseback riding with her dog, are shared by millions of fans.

Millions of fans of the wildly popular show breathed a sigh of relief when Cuoco and her co-stars finally settled their negotiations. Two of the show’s supporting cast, Melissa Rauch and Mayim Bialik, reached agreements earlier in July. Simon Helberg and Kunal Nayyar are expected to settle their deals soon. MSN reports that if production is started this week, the show is expected to continue as planned with no episodes being trimmed.

Kayley told E! Online that she has no problem being typecast after playing the perky Penny for the past 7 years. ” I was telling someone last night, people always say, ‘Oh my god, you’re going to be typecast’ and if I really was typecast as Penny or the girl next door it would be the greatest thing in the world, then I have a job forever playing that, ” Cuoco said.

From the looks of things, Cuoco won’t have a problem finding jobs for a long time.
