Demi Lovato Explains Why You Should Quit The Internet [Photos]

Demi Lovato wants you to turn off the internet and take a stroll outside.

The “Neon Lights” singer recently took a trip to a place she called “paradise.” Judging from the scenery, her description isn’t too far off the mark. In fact, the place is so picturesque that some of her fans accused her of posting travels pics she found on Google. As it turns out, the place Lovato is chilling at these days is just that gorgeous.

According to Demi Lovato, she spent some of her recent free time on a “nature adventure on an island far far away. And I swam with sting rays […] and sharks.” It was around this time the songstress suggested that people step away from their computers and enjoy a bit of fun in the sun. That’s probably not bad advice.

Of course, not everyone has the resources (read: money) to take a trip to some of the most beautiful places on the planet. However, that doesn’t necessarily mean there isn’t a ton of incredible stuff to see in your own backyard. However, it’s doubtful that the stuff in your neck of the woods looks like the stuff Demi Lovato experienced in recent days.

When some folks questioned the authenticity of their photographs, Demi was quick to shut them down. In short: She doesn’t have to fake anything. She’s living it.

If anyone deserves some time to sit back, relax, and enjoy some downtime, it’s certainly Lovato. Not only is the 21-year-old embarking on a pretty epic world tour, she’s also helping her friend Nick Jonas record a tune for his upcoming solo album.

Jonas said about their recent collaboration:

“She and I recorded a song that I think is beautiful. It’s not necessarily a love song. It’s so easy to do a duet that’s a love song because our relationship isn’t really that. But there is a love there for a friend, you know, and it’s beautiful to just talk about. Any kind of relationship can hit a point where if not’s stable, it’s not secure then it’s like an avalanche crashing down and that’s what the song is about. Her voice is amazing on it and it feels good. I’m excited for people to hear it!”

Do you agree with Demi Lovato that everyone should quit the internet for a while and enjoy what’s left of the summer?
