Madonna Dropping New Album In Spring 2012

Madonna has announced that she’s currently working on her 12th studio album and that it will debut with a single in February or March of 2012 with the full album due out sometime in Spring 2012.

The singer made her announcement when talking to Sweden’s Sveriges Television (SVT) in Venice, Italy where she was promoting her film W.E.

Speaking about the album she said she and her producers had already “started a little bit of work in the studio” and that she would be recording more in “New York, until the end of the year.”

While she’s just getting into the swing of things for the album, her manager Guy Oseary said in a tweet that she officially began working on the album on July 4 on which he tweeted that day as the “1st day in the recording studio for the new album.”

When the shows interviewer mentioned teaming up with producer William Orbit who worked on her 1998 album “Ray of Light” Madonna didn’t correct him which has led some people to believe they will be working together once again. Ray of Light won the Grammy Award for best pop album.

The new album will be Madonna’s first studio release since leaving Warner Bros. and signing a deal with Live Nation.
