Kate Winslet Details Projectile Vomiting Process for Press

It may not be exactly what you like to think about when considering the many charms of British hottie Kate Winslet, but the actress was happy to share the explicit details of puking for the camera during filming for her upcoming film Carnage.

In the Roman Polanski-directed flick, Winslet plays a neurotic mom. In the bit where the projectile vomiting was required, Winslet’s character is discussing a playground fight during a sit-down with another couple. She describes the mechanism required for hurling with force for the camera:

“I had to contain a lot of vomit in my mouth which is not possible for a person to do,” the actress said Thursday at a press conference for the film. “So without going into too much detail, it was a fairly complex rig, and there was some extremely clever CGI involved.”

Kate may not sound entirely enamored with the puke-process, but she said the situation wasn’t entirely unappreciated. According to Kate, her kids thought the scene was brilliant:

“My kids came to work for the vomit day, and I am so thrilled that they were there because they literally have not stopped talking about it since. It was hysterical.”

Winslet stars in the film opposite Christoph Waltz, who plays her husband. The other couple in the scene is portrayed by actors John C. Reilly and Jodie Foster, and Reilly was not as amused as Winslet’s kids by the grossness:

“While Kate was the one who threw up, Jodie and I had to clean up the vomit, so we had the more disgusting involvement with the vomit.”

Below, the film’s trailer- during which the much buzzed about vomit scene is hinted at:
