‘Batman V Superman’ Trailer Shown At SDCC Will Not Be Released To The Public

If you were waiting for the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice trailer Zack Snyder shared at the San Diego Comic Con, you will be disappointed. Apparently the teaser trailer that is all the talk online, was for those attending only and will not be released to the public.

Say what? In the past, with all trailers or clips shown at San Diego Comic Con, studios release the footage almost immediately or within a couple of days. Not in the case of the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice trailer.

Several copies of the leaked trailer are floating around, from people who were lucky enough to attend the panel in Hall H. The quality is very poor, as it was taken in the dark room, with cell phones, in most cases. Warner Bros. has taken down most copies posted to Youtube already, so if you missed it, you are out of luck and will have to wait for an official teaser.

The Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice trailer shows Ben Affleck’s Batman, standing on the roof of the Gotham City Police Department, on a rainy night. The Dark Knight then uncovers the Bat signal and turns it on. Then the camera slowly pans toward the light to reveal Henry Cavill’s Superman, looming above.

Supes looks angry, with his eyes flashing red and ready to strike his nemesis, while Batfleck’s eyes glower white in the dark of the night. That’s it.

According to Variety, it has been confirmed that Warner Bros. is not planing to release the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice trailer shown at Comic Con to the public. Sue Kroll, president worldwide marketing and international distribution, said, “That’s just going to live in that hall. We’ll post extended trailers and stills, but that presentation, that was just for those fans.”

And the rest of the world weeps and wonders how long will it have to wait for an official Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice trailer to make it online. The studio has not talked about a firm date to do so. We can only hope it will be very soon.

The news comes as a big disappointment for fans who were hoping Warner Bros. would follow what Peter Jackson did for The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies. The trailer for that production was shown on the same day and released on Tuesday. No such luck for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice fans who will have to wait longer to see the first trailer for the much anticipated Man of Steel sequel.
