Grey’s Anatomy Star Sarah Drew Announces: ‘Second Baby On The Way’

Grey’s Anatomy star Sarah Drew announced the happy news that she and husband Peter Lanfer are expecting their second baby sometime in December.

33-year-old Drew is best known for her role as Dr. April Kepner in the ABC medical drama series Grey’s Anatomy. But she is also remembered for her role as Hannah Rogers in The WB family drama Everwood which ran from 2004 through 2006.

Us Weekly reported today on the statement released by Sarah Drew announcing the good news:

“Peter and I are delighted to announce our pregnancy. We can’t wait to introduce Micah to his little brother or sister.”

Drew and Lanfer tied the knot back in the early summer of 2002 and welcomed their son, Michah, just over ten years later.

At the time of her first pregnancy Drew spoke to the same publication about how her Grey’s Anatomy co-stars helped her prepare for a baby:

“I got great advice about nausea from Ellen Pompeo because I am still dealing with nausea, which is no fun. She’s a wealth of information: She’s done all the research and looked into every possible way of doing things. I’ve gotten some great advice from Jessica Capshaw, especially about the brand of Pampers I’m supposed to be using. But I’m like, ‘Dude, I have some time. And I had great advice from Chyler Leigh about breastfeeding.”

Back in March, in an interview with Glamour magazine, Sarah Drew admitted that she and her husband, like any couple, have had their ups and downs.

She discussed the fact that they had even entered into counseling but came out of it stronger than ever as a couple: “He’s become super protective of my energy level and time,” Drew told Us magazine in 2012. “He’s been amazing. I can’t ask for a better partner.”
