The Bachelorette spoilers are ahead: Do not read if you have not watched the finale.
The Bachelorette finale aired on Monday night with Andi Dorfman choosing between Josh Murray and Nick Viall. Dorfman made her decision fairly early, showing up in Nick's room before he could meet with Neil Lane to pick out an engagement ring. Andi told Nick that she woke up with a bad feeling and that he wasn't the one, leaving him completely shocked and speechless.
For the next couple of weeks, Nick tried to get in touch with Andi. He wanted to talk to her about what went wrong, but she wouldn't give him the time of day. Andi finally confronted Nick on After The Final Rose and he let everything out -- even spilling some fantasy suite secrets. This, of course, made Andi furious. According to Rumor Fix, Andi felt as though Nick betrayed her when he told the world that the two had sex on their overnight date.
The Bachelorette and her runner up sat awkwardly on a couch while Nick asked Andi some very important questions. He wanted to know why she would "make love with" him if she knew that she loved someone else. While this sort of thing is definitely private, Nick tried to talk to Andi previously -- without ABC cameras in tow -- but she refused. Also, people who are trying to make up some kind of controversy are a bit naive. Everyone knows what goes down in the fantasy suite -- just because people don't always say the words, doesn't mean that things aren't happening.
If Nick Viall is a sensitive guy who only has sex with people that he's in love with (and that he believes reciprocates that love), he shouldn't have gone on the show. Or, he should not have taken the key to the fantasy suite. The show has the potential to make two people fall in love in a very short time, yes, but one has to remember that it is never just you and the Bachelorette. There is another guy -- sometimes more than one guy. This is something that people have to prepare for -- it's not like it's a surprise.
Of course Andi Dorfman could have spared Nick the heartache and the confusion if she knew that Josh Murray was the guy for her -- but the process isn't that easy. Andi did have feelings for Nick, but she had to admit to herself that her relationship with Nick wasn't what she wanted for the future -- and there's nothing wrong with that. However, she should have spoken to Nick privately if she didn't want her not-so-secret dirty laundry on national television.
Nick Viall spoke with People Magazine after getting dumped. He says that he's accepted Andi's decision and that he's working on getting over her.
"I've accepted her decision very much, absolutely, but I think when you love someone as much as I loved her, I don't know if you totally get over that in 10 weeks. I'm still working through it."Moving forward, The Bachelor 2015 has sort of been confirmed according to The Inquisitr. Find out who it is here.
