Charlize Theron Engaged? Actress Steps Out With Big Diamond Ring
Just the other day we reported that Charlize Theron and Sean Penn were inching closer to taking the next step in their relationship. Now, Theron has been spotted with a huge diamond ring. That said, before you start searching for an official announcement from the pair you should know that Theron bought the ring for herself and it didn’t come from her famous beau Sean Penn.
According to US Weekly, the actress started a firestorm of rumors when she was spotted at LAX with a big sparkler. So who designed the ring that Sean Penn didn’t buy for Theron? According to a source, Charlize’s new ring is an 18k yellow gold ring designed by Anita Ko Leaf. The ring ran Theron up $4,900 which is probably a drop in the bucket.

As we reported, lately Theron has been very open about her relationship. In an issue of Vogue Charlize didn’t go into specifics about her relationship with Sean Penn but did say that it was a romance that turned into something more because they were friends first.
“A friend kind of stepped into that [romantic] role, and I really didn’t see it coming. We were just really good friends. And it’s been slow going because you are aware that you could screw that up and lose it. We had to think about it. But at the end of the day, it was somewhat effortless.”
It doesn’t seem too far off before the couple exchanges vows. US Weekly reported that their wedding is imminent.
Penn’s confident said the two are looking to adopt, in addition to Jackson, the son Charlize adopted on her own. Although the pair wants to get married soon they’ve only been in a relationship for eight months, but apparently they’ve known each other for almost two decades.
As some of you may know, before entering a relationship, Penn was married to House of Cards actress Robin Wright. As for Charlize, she was involved in a relationship with actor Stuart Townsend. The two were in a committed relationship for seven years before splitting up.
In the end Theron said her new relationship has been effortless. She continued, “People who really love me can see the effect it has had on me.”
As for Penn’s ex Robin Wright, she has moved on to actor Ben Foster. The pair are also engaged and plan to wed, though the details around their wedding aren’t public.
