Courteney Cox Visits Fiance’s Irish Hometown Ahead of Wedding

Courteney Cox is exploring her Irish fiance’s hometown as she prepares for her upcoming wedding.

The former Friends actress arrived in Derry, Northern Ireland on Wednesday, presumably to visit fiance Johnny McDaid.

According to Ireland’s The Mirror, Courteney arrived in Derry via budget airline RyanAir. The city was quick to welcome Courteney to town.

Johnny proposed during a visit to the Turks and Caicos for Courteney’s 50th birthday. The couple started dating in late 2013, after being introduced by their mutual friend, musician Ed Sheeran. Courteney and Johnny officially announced their engagement via Twitter in June.

As reported in The Inquisitr, Courteney and Johnny moved into Courteney’s Malibu mansion in April. At the time, matchmaker Ed Sheeran said:

“I’m not sure that it’s public knowledge, so maybe I shouldn’t have said anything — but, yes, they’re already living together. Things are moving fast. He moved in and, judging by the last time I saw them, they couldn’t be happier. They get on really well and are genuinely good friends, pardon the pun”.

Some reports suggest Courteney and Johnny are looking for wedding locations around Derry. Others suggest that they will be married in Courteney’s native state, Alabama.

This will not be Courteney’s first marriage. The 50-year-old was married to David Arquette from 1999 to 2010. Their daughter, Coco, was born in 2004, after Courteney went through numerous miscarriages and in vitro fertilization treatments.

In February, Courteney told More magazine that she and David remain on good terms:

“We love each other… and when you love someone, you want them to be happy, even if it’s not with you. You can love somebody so much, but it’s not the you should be living together. I think David and I are supposed to be the way we are now.”

David reportedly approves of Courteney’s new match with Johnny. During an appearance on the Wendy Williams Show, David said:

“We’ve gone out to dinner a few times. My whole thing is that, [Johnny is] a great man and to have someone kind, that you trust around your kid is the most important part. [Courteney] an amazing mother and a dear friend”.

David is also moving on and recently became engaged to his girlfriend of three years, Christina McLarty. They just welcomed their first son, Charlie West.

There is no indication yet if David will attend Courteney’s wedding to Johnny.
