Tara Reid Is Waiting For ‘Sharknado 3’ To Happen

Are you ready for Sharknado 3? Well, Tara Reid sure is ready to get back to the franchise. Reid and the former 90210 star Ian Ziering didn’t know what they were in store for when they signed up to do the first Sharknado for SyFy. It was only expected to be a small special on the network, but then it turned into a phenomenon that actually played in theaters. Not only did it gain an audience and a weird cult following, but it made pretty big bank.

So what happens when a movie makes an unexpected big splash? A sequel, of course. Reid and Ziering both returned for Sharknado 2 to make another fantastic C-level horror film for SyFy. As they hit the set expectations were really high, not on the production value, but as far as how well it will sell to a mainstream audience. With that kind of enthusiasm it’s no surprise that there’s already talk about a third installment.

According to Tara Reid, who spoke with GQ Sharknado 3 can actually happen.”You know, it can actually happen.

“I mean, the chances of it happening are very rare, but it can happen actually. Which is crazy.”

The 38-year-old actress continued to elaborate on how plausible a third installment would be.

“Not that it—the chances of it are, like, you know, it’s like probably ‘pigs could fly.’ Like, I don’t think pigs could fly, but actually sharks could be stuck in tornados. There could be a sharknado.”

Let’s face it: if they could make two campy movies about a shark tornado, odds are they can spring for a third one, especially considering production stayed on a low budget scale for the first two. Even though we will never ever face a thing such as a Sharknardo, Ziering has given some pretty sound advice.

“Get the biggest, badass chainsaw you can find and hope for the best,” said the actor.

Mark McGrath is new to the film and will have a role in the second Sharknado film. He said to survive a Sharknado, one must, “have to stay calm, OK? Because everybody else is freaking out. And you have to be good friends with Ian Ziering. If you’re part of Ian’s group, you got a fifty/fifty chance of survival.”

As for Sharknado 2, you can catch the film, Sharknado 2: The Second One on SyFy on July 30, at 9 pm.
