The Uncharted 3 Collector’s Edition gets unboxed by Nolan North [Video]

One of the growing trends for video game companies as they look for new ways to make money is to create and market specialty packages, or boxed editions, of a game.

While some of the special editions can be pretty simple affairs there is a whole new level of special editions that include collectible items associated with the game, as we can see with this Uncharted 3 Collector’s Edition that has been put together by Sony, the Playstation Blog, the game developer Naughty Dog.

To help promote this Collector’s edition Nolan North, the voice behind the main character of the game Nathan Drake, has put together this video of him doing an “unboxing” of the Collector’s Edition package to show us what goodies you get for your $99.

The Collector’s Edition contains the following:

• a unique reproduction of a travelling chest
• an eight-inch figure of Nathan Drake
• a wearable replica of Drake’s belt buckle
• a wearable replica of Drake’s ring
