Dana White Says Conor McGregor’s ‘Visions’ Remind Him Of Ronda Rousey

Dana White, the president of the UFC, told the press recently that to his mind Conor McGregor has the same qualities as Ronda Rousey.

It seems that the brutish looking Irishman, who is definitely a little rough around the edges, has big ideas for what he intends to achieve in the near, and distant, future.

Following McGregor’s successful return to the Octagon last Saturday for UFC Fight Night, he said that he had “visions” of what he wanted to achieve in his career.

Dana White addressed the media and talked about why he thinks McGregor is comparable to Rousey:

“Ronda Rousey has a million visions too. She had a vision of her and I meeting and bringing women into the UFC. It is crazy when she talks about things she had visions of and then I listen to him talk now and it is hilarious.”

But White’s praise for Conor McGregor wasn’t total, as he suggested that while he appreciates the lad’s enthusiasm, he needs to take a chill-pill and relax.

“I like that he’s ambitious. He just needs to relax a little bit. I love the things he says. I’m telling you, he reminds me of Ronda Rousey Him and his visions remind me of Ronda Rousey,” he said.

Conor McGregor spoke unequivocally to MMA Fighting recently and told them, in no uncertain terms, precisely what he envisions for himself.

“It doesn’t seem surreal. I believed it in when others would not. I had that clear, clear vision..I seem to have the habit of predicting the future. I have these visions and they seem to come true. I’m never going to doubt them and no one else should, either,” he said.

And the big Irishman didn’t stop there in self-praise, as he continued to speak about his ambitions to become champion:

“I have a clear, clear vision that that gold belt is around my waist by the end of the year. By the end of 2014. And, I don’t know why but it’s clear as day that that belt is wrapped around my waist. I’m coming for all of it. I’m coming for the gold. I’m taking over the game. You just sit back and relax and watch me take over the game.”
