Bullock Intruder: Joshua Corbett Was Obsessed With Sandra, Had Arsenal At Home
New details are emerging regarding the recent Sandra Bullock intruder, Joshua Corbett, and his obsession with the Gravity star. Corbett broke into Bullock’s home recently, while she and her son were there, and now it seems Bullock and Corbett even came face-to-face. As more information emerges on this incident, fans cringe with thoughts of how tragic this situation could have gotten had things played out differently.
According to TMZ, Bullock’s intruder was right outside her bedroom door when she discovered him. The search warrant for Joshua Corbett’s home outlines how Sandra heard a loud banging in her house at around 1 am on June 9. She went to close and lock her bedroom door and saw Corbett, wearing dark clothing, standing in the hallway. She of course called 911 immediately, and the police took him into custody as he pleaded, “Sandy, I’m sorry. Please don’t press charges.”
Details are now coming to light indicating that Corbett had a notebook with him that contained handwritten notes and magazine pictures of Bullock he had cut out. One note chillingly said, “I will forever be thinking of you and Louie, my son, as you are my wife by law, the law of God and you belong to me and me to you.” At the time the incident initially occurred, Today reported that Corbett had spent some time rifling through Bullock’s belongings prior to being caught.
Fox News notes that Bullock’s intruder has been charged with stalking, residential burglary, possession of a machine gun, and numerous other weapons charges. In fact, at this point Corbett faces 19 felony charges in total. Earlier reports via TMZ outlined that once Corbett’s home was searched, authorities found seven machine guns and a number of other weapons. This is not the first time The Blind Side actress has been faced with an obsessed fan, but it may well be the most unsettling.
Sources indicate that Joshua Corbett was at Sandra’s home to try to see her, and fans shudder to think how this could have turned out had the actress not happened to hear him and locked her door before he got to her. Luckily, neither Sandra or her son Louie were harmed during the unsettling incident. Sandra Bullock is known for having very solid security, and at this point it is isn’t clear just what happened that allowed Bullock’s intruder to get so close to her. Given what authorities have found, it seems a fairly safe bet he won’t have the opportunity ever again.
