Angelina Jolie To Sue Daily Mail After Strung Out ‘Heroin Addict’ Video Emerges

In a move that will shock no one, actress Angelina Jolie has plans to sue the Daily Mail after the site released an old video of the actress strung out on heroin. While Jolie has always been open about her battle with drugs in the 90s, the footage released by the Daily Mail goes a bit too far as it shows Angelina in the privacy of her own home worse for wear.

The video which is dated back to 15 years ago shows Jolie having a conversation about her brother Jamie and his money issues. The National Enquirer suggests that the conversation is between the actress and her father Jon Voight. In the video the actress, who had not yet hit it big with her HBO film Gia, appeared strung out and emaciated.

The shocking video of Angelina resurfaced at the hands of a former drug dealer. According to her drug dealer, Franklin Meyer, Jolie was a regular customer who often bought cocaine and heroin three times a week.

Of his time with Jolie, Meyer told The National Enquirer:

“I sold her heroin and cocaine. One day she called me up and wanted me to drop by her place. That was her way of telling me she wanted me to bring her drugs. At the time, I had just bought a video camera and decided to bring it along. When I arrived, I just gave her the drugs and then she gave me the money.”

According to The Times, the actress sees this video as a gross violation of her privacy and plans to take legal action against the site.

In the past Jolie has given interviews about her troubled past, which was before and during her marriage to actor Billy Bob Thornton. A famous quote from the actress circulated back in 2011 when the actress opened up to 60 Minutes.

“I went through heavy, darker times and I survived them. I didn’t die young, so I’m very lucky. There are other artists and people who didn’t survive certain things.”

She continued:

“Nothing I want to go into a lot of detail about, but I think people can imagine that I did the most dangerous and I did the worst-and for many reasons I shouldn’t be here. You think of those too many times where you came close to too many dangerous things, too many chances taken too, too far.”

Back in 1996, Jolie told The Mirror: “I have done just about every drug possible: cocaine, ecstasy, LSD, and my favorite, heroin.”

Fortunately now Jolie leads a relatively clean life with her partner Brad Pitt and their six children.
