Fans can watch the India vs. England cricket Test live online as the teams head into their third day and England looks to make some noise while batting.
Through the first two days, India set a target of 457 including a record last-wicket stand of 111. England closed on 43-1 to end the second day trailing by 414.
For England, it was a difficult stretch in which Indian hitters seemed to have their way.
“It was frustrating but we tried pretty much everything with the ball. It was 50 overs old and it wasn’t doing much,” said England seamer Stuart Broad. “Credit to the Indian pair – they didn’t give us the last wicket. In that session it was actually 90-4 but we walked off frustrated. It’s a good pitch to bat on; it could have been 600. The bouncer was pretty much out of the game – it didn’t feel like it was going through. Hopefully we’ll bowl on more favourable wickets.”
Fans who watch the India vs. England cricket Test live online will see if England can now climb out of the deep hole it has created.
BBC Sport noted the lofty objective the English squad now must achieve:
For England, the objective is clear. Bat long, long and even longer. Get past the follow-on mark of 258, up to that India score and beyond if possible. For India, they will want to strike, bat again to put England out the game, then bowl them out on a deteriorating pitch.
