Kim Kardashian: ‘My Mother Taught Me I Could Have It All’

Kim Kardashian has revealed that her mother, Kris Jenner, taught her and her sisters that they “could have it all.”

Kardashian was talking to CNBC on Monday when she made the declaration, which was in relation to whether a woman could have a flourishing career and be a mother at the same time.

“My mom taught us girls that we could have it all,” Kim proclaimed. “She works hard, she taught us that if you work hard, it’s just all about prioritizing.”

Kim conceded that it does take a lot of hard work to excel in both fields at the same though, especially when a baby is waiting at home. “I just think that, yeah, it could get tough if you have a baby. There were so many times, I just didn’t want to get up an work on something. I just wanted to be home with my baby,” she noted.

However, Kim revealed that there are some aspects of parenting that can’t replicate the feeling of working in a field that they adore. “For me, and I think I can speak for my sisters, it makes us feel good when we are out working and we can provide something for our friends and products that we can’t find, that we really want and it just makes you feel productive,” she explained.

Kim noted that it’s not the same situation for everybody though, continuing, “If anyone really feels like they can’t do it all, I feel like it’s a little bit discouraging to say that. Even if I couldn’t and it wasn’t possible, I would try. I would try my best to do it all.”

“I think my biggest struggle as a mom has been balancing the two,” Kim candidly commented of her attempts to balance being a mother and working, before Kourtney, Kim’s older sister, offered her own perspective, declaring, “I do think it’s possible, i just think you feel guilty… I used to feel so guilty every time I left.”

Last week, Kim also noted that she had a hard time dragging herself away from her daughter, North West, whose father is the rapper, Kanye, just after she had been born.

“I took a hiatus after I had the baby and found it challenging to star working again because I didn’t want to spend any time away, but you adjust and prioritize and just figure it out,” she stated.

Kim, along with Kourtney and her their younger sister and brother Khloe and Rob, are the offspring of Kris Jenner and Robert Kardashian Snr. Kris also have two daughter, Kendall and Kylie, with the retired athlete Bruce Jenner, and all of them are the stars of the hugely popular reality television show, Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
