Mark Paul Gosselaar to Say ‘I Do’ Again, Proposes After Divorce is Finalized

Saved By The Bell actor Mark Paul Gosselaar (who has, to be fair, done a lot of other stuff since the iconic 80s tween show but was the first boy to grace my bedroom walls on Tiger Beat pages) has only been divorced officially for three months- but he already plans to wed again.

Gosselaar, 36, split from ex-wife Lisa Ann Russell- to whom he had been married 14 years- in May. The pair, who have two kids together, cited “irreconcilable differences” in their filing. Russell, 39, and Gosselaar, 36, met on the set of Saved By The Bell: The College Years back in 1993 and got hitched in Hawaii in 1996. The former couple were tight-lipped about the reasons behind the dissolution of their marriage, but when the split became public, a source said, “she is a great mother, he is a great father… the two of them could not be more hands with the children.”

The divorce doesn’t seem to have scared Gosselaar off from commitment- he recently proposed to ad exec Catriona McGinn. The 80’s tween heartthrob and his new future missus have been seeing one another for six months, and Gosselaar presented her with a five carat Neil Lane diamond when asking her to marry him. Lane was happy to comment on the engagement and snag some publicity for the line of pricey baubles:

“He couldn’t wait to propose… He was so excited to have found the woman of his dreams.”

No information was made available about possible wedding dates, and no direct comment was made by Gosselaar or McGinn.
