Jennifer Lopez Suffered ‘Breakdown’ Following Casper Smart Split

Jennifer Lopez reportedly had a “complete breakdown” following her recent split from boyfriend Casper Smart.

Although the American Idol judge is putting on a pretty good front for the masses, some folks believe Lopez had an extremely difficult time processing the end of her relationship. In fact, some outlets report that the singer had a “complete breakdown” after she and Smart decided to officially call it quits.

According to the gossip mongers over at In Touch magazine, Jennifer Lopez is still having some trouble sweeping up all the pieces of her broken heart. However, she’s reportedly eased some of the pain by spending time with Maksim Chmerkovskiy.

The anonymous source dished:

“Jennifer recently had a complete meltdown. She started throwing framed photos of Casper against the wall — there was broken glass everywhere, and the maid had to clean up after her. It was a crazy scene.”

Despite their decision to break up, Jennifer Lopez and Casper Smart haven’t entirely gone their separate ways. The Inquisitr previously reported that the singer and her ex-boyfriend are still living together. In fact, a completely different insider explained that Smart “doesn’t seem to be in a rush to move out.”

Some of Lopez’s friends believe she could possibly end up back in Casper’s arms if she doesn’t make him hit the road sometime soon. Since going back to the guy is “so easy for her,” these folks are more than a little concerned about Jennifer at the moment.

Unfortunately, a bad romance isn’t the only thing Lopez has to contend with these days. The singer’s latest studio album, AKA, failed to make a dent in the Billboard charts. According to the Guardian Liberty Voice, the record only moved approximately 35,000 units during its first week on retail shelves.

Jennifer’s last few albums have failed to find an audience outside of her hardcore fanbase as well. Both 2007’s Brave and 2011’s Love? couldn’t pull in the sort of numbers she enjoyed during her heyday. In fact, she told The Associated Press that her record label cut back on the amount of money allotted for her music videos.

She explained:

“It used to be like this big magical world, almost like Oz, when you’d make a record. (It) was like anything was possible. Now, it’s like, ‘We’ll see if we can do that and we can give you this much.’ And you’re like, ‘Wow, OK. So how am I gonna do that?’ It’s a whole different mind-set.”

Fortunately for Jennifer Lopez, she still has American Idol and a few movie projects looming on the horizon. Hopefully her love life will bounce back in the coming months as well.
