Chariot singer and renowned songwriter Gavin DeGraw is recovering this evening after he was attacked by a group of men on a New York city street.
According to police DeGraw suffered a broken nose and a cut to his face. Police say the singer was attacked by “unknown male attackers” during the early morning hours of Sunday, they also say that an investigation is on-going at this time.
DeGraw’s spokesman says he was taken to Bellevue Hospital in an ambulance and is still hospitalized so he can be observed to determine the severity of his injuries, his rep adds that at this time “no further information” about the singers condition has been released.
Because of the street attack Gavin was forced to cancel his Saratoga Springs, NY concert which was scheduled for Tuesday night.
The singer, known for his hit songs Chariot and I Don’t Wanna Be will release his new album Sweeter in September of this year.
