English newspaper The Sun sought to bring light to the idea that men face the same unfair standards in advertising as women. To prove their point, the newspaper released these real men underwear ads.

Recently finding their way onto Reddit, these untouched photos of men recreating famous underwear ads offer a more accurate portrayal of the everyday male.

According to the Huffington Post, studies have shown that impossible body standards for men have been linked to male eating disorders and seeing more diverse bodies improves the acceptance of these different body types.

As brands like Dove have sought to design advertisements offering body positivity for women, it is encouraging to see the same efforts being made for men. It is now accepted that the issue applies to both genders, affecting body image on a wide scale.

This just goes to show you there is no requirement for being comfortable in your own skin.
