Alleged Incest Offender Wants Unsupervised Visits With 2-Year-Old Daughter, Petitioners Furious

Alleged incest offender Jimmie B. Johnson II could soon have unsupervised visits with his two-year-old daughter, much to the outrage of petitioners at Change.org.

The petition, created by Marie Westphal of Van Buren, Arkansas, seeks to keep visits supervised between Johnson and the little girl because Johnson reportedly admitted to two incestuous relationships with his sisters, “one who was under age 16 during his timeline of admittance,” states the petition to the Honorable Mike Medlock.

From Westphal’s actual petition:

The citizens of Arkansas respectfully request that you reconsider your goal of working toward “standard visitation” between Jimmie B Johnson II, an admitted incestuous offender, and his minor female child born 7-27-2012. The citizens of Arkansas further request that Johnson’s visitations remain supervised at least until a time when the minor child is of age to know what behavior and actions are unacceptable from a caregiver, the child is of age to notify the authorities if/when such actions take place, and such notifications will be considered valid and serious.

Johnson has admitted in your courtroom to having “incestuous relationship[s]” with two of his sisters, one who was under age 16 during his timeline of admittance. Johnson’s attorney Roy Gene addressed these heinous acts in court as “a situation in your past, six years ago when you were involved in an incestuous relationship, correct?” Johnson declared “yes” (Johnson vs. Johnson, p. 4, Lines 6- 9). Cross-examination by the plaintiff’s attorney Susan Wakefield-Johnson further revealed, “isn’t it true that it isn’t just one of your sisters that you molested, you molested two of them?”. Johnson stated, “—Depending on your definition of molest, I was involved with two of my sisters yes” (p. 8, Lines 17-20).

Johnson had previously ran for office for the position of State Representative District 87 under a largely conservative banner. According to Vote-AR.org, he identifies “Christianity” as his religion of choice and his political goals included the following:

1. Make abortion illegal.
2. Eliminate all taxes and fees except sales tax and constitutionally limit sales tax to 10%.
3. Introduce legislation to repeal amendments to the Constitution that allow debt through state and municipal bonds.
4. Deconsolidate schools and return control to local school boards.
5. Discourage crime by making mandatory sentences, eliminating insanity pleas, and prohibiting sentences from being served concurrently.
6. Allowing individuals to establish unrestricted medical savings accounts.
7. Encouraging alternative fuel technology by eliminating energy subsidies.

Though Johnson has not been prosecuted for the crimes, the petition states, “The public believes Johnson to be an opportunist sexual offender.”

“Even if he is not prosecuted for his actions, he indeed meets the criteria for a registered sex offender and therefore also meets the criteria of Arkansas State Law 9-13-101(d)(1),” Westphal says in her petition.

That law states: “If a party to an action concerning custody of or a right to visitation with a child is a sex offender who is required to register under the Sex Offender Registration Act of 1997, § 12-12-901 et seq., the circuit court may not award custody or unsupervised visitation of the child to the sex offender unless the circuit court makes a specific finding that the sex offender poses no danger to the child.”

This is followed by Westphal: “Johnson’s actions were incest of minor female family members performed behind closed doors and kept within his household to maintain control over his victims, and therefore he poses a threat to other underage female family members.”

Johnson has not issued comment on the petition at this time.
