AC/DC Monopoly Arrives, Adds Metal/Rock Spin to Classic Board Game

Much to the delight of individuals who prefer a cup of heavy rock with their afternoon board game, the AC/DC Collector’s Edition of Monopoly has arrived.

The completely customized version of the iconic Parker Brothers game features an updated playing surface, swapping the more traditional properties, such as “Park Place” and “Water Works,” with the band’s most popular albums and locations including Black Ice, Stiff Upper Lip, and AC/DC Lane, essentially allowing fans to build their own AC/DC empire.

Replacing the standard small metal tokens that players use to move around the board’s edge are more rock-appropriate ones which include a cannon, a bundle of dynamite, a bell on fire, Angus’s school boy hat, stacks of cash, and a lightning bolt – similar to the one in the band’s logo.

For those of you itching to get your hands on a copy of the AC/DC Collector’s Edition, you can purchase it directly from the official AC/DC store.

USAopoly, the company behind the creation of AC/DC Monopoly and countless other custom versions, got its start in 1994 with the brilliant idea of making a hometown edition of the classic Monopoly game.

According to the company’s official website:

After securing permission from Hasbro to license the world famous property trading game from Parker Brothers®, the San Diego edition of the MONOPOLY game was born, and so was USAOPOLY, Inc. We started with cities, colleges and popular themes like The Simpsons®, Harley-Davidson ® and the NFL. Over 100 different specialty editions later, USAOPOLY started putting spins on other timeless games we all know and love to play like Yahtzee, Jenga, The Game of Life as well as Chess, Checkers, Tic Tac Toe, Dominoes and Puzzles. For over 14 years now, friends and families have been able to rediscover their favorite board games… with a fun, unique USAOPOLY twist.

Prior to releasing the AC/DC edition of the popular board game, another historic metal/rock band version was published back in June – MonopolyMetallicaCollector’s Edition.
