‘Real Housewives Of Atlanta’ Star About To Be Confronted On Criminal Allegations She’s Been Avoiding

A Real Housewives of Atlanta star is about to be confronted on criminal allegations she’s been avoiding for almost two years. Now the reality star must face accusations a former friend of hers has made over claims that she’s been involved in fraudulent activity. Does this sound the tiniest bit similar to Joe and Teresa Giudici’s situation from The Real Housewives of New Jersey?

RadarOnline gives an update on the case in which Phaedra Parks filed a libel lawsuit against former friend, Angela Stanton, for an e-book she wrote. In Stanton’s e-book, Lies of a Real Housewife, she charges that Phaedra managed a “criminal enterprise” when they were business associates. She alleges in the 2012 e-book that those criminal activities involved “fraudulent bank accounts, insurance checks, fake IDs, chop shops, stolen cars, fraudulent titles, [and] fraudulent registration cards.”

Parks has never been charged with anything — nor has she been questioned or linked with any such wrongdoings. When the Real Housewives of Atlanta star first learned of Stanton’s claims in her book, she filed a $30 million lawsuit against the publishing company, Vibe Holdings, for publishing lies about her in order to generate sales for the book. Also, an article out by Vibe accused Parks of being a “crooked attorney” who knows how to commit crimes, has done so, and knows how to cover them up.

Phaedra says Stanton’s claims are nothing more than the rantings of a resentful, bitter woman.

Stanton’s attorneys have unsuccessfully tried for two years getting an interview with Phaedra to find out what she really knows. Well, things are about to get a lot stickier for the Real Housewives of Atlanta star because a court order stipulating she must sit for deposition within 45 days, or she meets with a judge for sentencing. Court records reveal attorneys “began asking for available dates to take Parks’ deposition back on November 15, 2013.” Since that day they tried to “work with Parks, by and through her counsel, on numerous occasions to schedule her deposition, but [have] met with nothing but excuses, refusals and empty promises.”

Stanton’s attorneys say Phaedra Parks has expressed “refusal to participate in good faith in the discovery process.”

Phaedra’s husband, Apollo Nida, has served time for fraudulent and identity theft charges. According to KPopStarz, Nida plead guilty to fraudulent charges against him and awaits his sentencing on July 8. As the report points out, coincidentally, Joe and Teresa Giudice receive their sentencing for fraud the same day as well.

Will any of this air on the next season of Real Housewives of Atlanta?
