Justin Bieber Mugshot Flashes With Jay Z’s So (Clearly) Beyonce & Hova Aren’t Mocking

Justin Bieber’s mugshot was shown at Beyonce and and Jay Z’s opening night of their joint tour “On The Run,” next to a roll call of famous arrestees’ mugshots.

Contrary to reports, Beyonce is not seen or heard saying “Even the greatest can fall” during the segment as she was not on stage during the montage. The fallacy has now has taken on a life of its own. It remains to be seen if Beyonce and Jay Z will address the furor.

Justin Bieber’s mugshot was shown at Beyonce and and Jay Z’s opening night of their joint tour “On The Run,” next to a roll call of famous arrestees’ mug shots.

The 20-year-old made the cut in an onstage screen montage as Jay Z rocked the sold out show at the Sun Life Stadium in Miami with “Izzo (H.O.V.A.)” on Wednesday, June 25.

The lyrics were apt for the montage, and included:

“Haters want me clapped and chromed it ain’t easy / Cops wanna knock me / D.A. wanna box me in / But somehow, I beat them charges like Rocky / H to the izz-O, V to the izz-A / Not guilty, he who does not feel me is not real to me /Therefore he doesn’t exist (sic)”

Mugshots of former Microsoft CEO now technology advisor Bill Gates, the late rapper Tupac Shakur, actor Robert Downey Jr., the former Vietnam war activist and actress Jane Fonda, music icon David Bowie, comedian and actor Russell Brand, rap mogul “Diddy,” rapper Rick Ross, actor Woody Harrelson, Jay Z, Jim Morrison and more, featured in the medley.

Watch the video below.

Bieber is seen at 0:59 seconds.

Immediately after Jay Z’s performance of “Izzo (H.O.V.A)” finishes, the rapper segues to the next track with no gap.

A purported member of the audience is quoted as saying Beyonce saying “even the greatest can fall” when Bieber’s mugshot rolled, the Daily Mirror reported.

But that version of events isn’t supported by the video, which is clearly audible and visual.

Beyonce is nowhere on stage during Jay Z’s solo, and her voice isn’t heard as an overdub either during or at the end of the track.

What may have happened – and we’ve noticed this at The Inquisitr, as we are also following fan accounts – is that Bieber fans will copy a tweet (which may or may not be accurate) and post it on their timeline as if it’s their own.

Case in point: Both fans here and here posted the tweet about Beyonce’s alleged statement as if they attended the show and heard her say it first-hand. They may not have.

This is how the fans start rumors and overreact.

Bieber was arrested on suspicion of DUI in Miami Beach in January.

He was later charged with DUI, resisting arrest without violence and driving with an expired licence.

The singer’s legal team have reportedly agreed a plea deal with prosecutors which will entail pleading guilty to reckless driving, paying a fine and attending anger management classes.

As fans of Bieber will know, the singer’s crush on Beyonce was a running theme even from the earliest of his interviews.

Perhaps that’s why he appeared not to mind his mug shot being shown?

That, and the – mostly – illustrious company he was in.

On Friday, the Canadian retweeted a fan’s screengrab of his mugshot moment at Beyonce and Jay Z’s show.

Although, perhaps bearing in mind the context, Bieber then tweeted the words: “Everyday focused.”

Meanwhile, it’s rave reports all the way for Beyonce and Jay’s “On The Run” tour.

In a tour that will takes their version 2014 “Bonnie and Clyde” themed spectacle to 16 cities across America and four stops in France, just about all the reviews have declared the power couple’s opening show a triumph.

The pair’s gargantuan 42-song set-list reportedly wowed fans of all ages, genders, creeds and persuasions.

Billboard described it as: “Over two hours of tightly choreographed showmanship that was timed to the second, alternating between the pair’s solo history, their collaborative hits and by duet versions of hits both have originally recorded with others.”

Beyonce rocked the house in an Atelier Versace design bodysuit covered with black sequin netting at the start of the gig before changing 13 times, as the duo tore through hits past and present and left no-one in any doubt of their ascendancy.
