Borderlands 2 officially announced

Just yesterday we heard of a rumor stating that an announcement of Borderlands 2 is imminent, and it looks like that anonymous source turned out to be correct. Imagine that!

2K Games officially announced Borderlands 2 bright and early this morning. The sequel is due out on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 sometime after March of next year.

2K Games didn’t give us a teaser trailer or screenshots to go by, but they did let us know when we can expect to see something of it. Game Informer will be running a cover story on it for their upcoming issue, and the title will be on display at Gamescom later this month, with another showing at PAX Prime a week later.

Until then, all you’ll be able to check out is the game’s official website. There isn’t much to see there, granted, but at least it’s something to look at.
