4 Siblings Share Wedding: 3 Sisters, 1 Brother Decide To Share Wedding Day

4 siblings share the same wedding ceremony and reception in Utah. The Fortney family agreed to have a four-way joint wedding where three sisters married their grooms and their one brother married his bride. The girls got together and picked out what was most important to them on their wedding day, and everything was incorporated that could be. According to The Canada Journal, the four couples each got up to say their vows, one couple at a time.

One of the sisters, Grace Fortney Weaver said:

“With most families, this would not work, Thankfully I have wonderful, wonderful sisters and a wonderful brother.”

The 4 siblings that shared the same wedding date seemed happy with their decision. According to Today, Meagan Fortney came up with the idea originally. She had wanted to have a triple wedding with her two sisters. Her brother Marcus then decided to get in on the huge wedding, and all four ended up getting married on June 14.

Kevin Fortney, the dad of the four siblings, said:

“It was a wonderful opportunity to attend each one of the children’s weddings, and the siblings were able to attend each other’s wedding as well. And so to sit and watch each one of your children be married and then to have their brothers and sisters there, it was a great experience.”

What’s next for the 4 siblings that share a wedding date? Their mom joked that she would work on coordinating the births of her grandchildren. While that’s probably not possible, it sounds like this tight-knit family would undoubtedly want to have their babies around the same time so that the women could be pregnant together and that the babies would grow up together. Perhaps a joint baby shower would be doable… and don’t think they won’t think about it.

Weddings have been in the news a lot lately. Another unique story that just might bring a tear to your eye was previously reported by The Inquisitr. The story was about a dying dad who chose to walk his 11-year-old daughter down the aisle in a staged ceremony. Of course the man wasn’t marrying off his daughter. The purpose of the ceremony was to pronounce the two “daddy and daughter.” It was a very special day for the two — and it is something that the little girl will remember for her whole life. Her father is dying of pancreatic cancer.
