Anna Faris Proud of Husband Chris Pratt and Her Role on CBS’ ‘Moms’

Anna Faris has a lot to be proud of lately. The Hollywood funny girl is a new mom, has a new show even titled Moms, which she calls “the perfect job,” and her husband Chris Pratt is Hollywood’s next biggest star, leading the cast in both Guardians of the Galaxy and the upcoming Jurassic World.

It might be the latter that Anna is most proud of lately, as Anna gushes about Chris’s recent success. “I’m so proud of him! It’s exciting! I’m like, ‘My husband’s a movie star! What happened? How did I get so lucky?” Though the new mom is happy for hubby, she also admits it comes with its challenges. “He’s been away, so that part’s been hard – he’s shooting ‘Jurassic World’ right now in New Orleans and our baby’s not quite two yet.”

Any chance we’ll see Anna and Chris in a movie together? You bet! The famous comedy couple is planning to shoot Vacation Friends next spring, after Parks and Recreation and Mom finish filming. “I would just love to work with him,” Anna gushed.

While Anna’s happy to work with her husband and play comedic roles, she also loves the serious nature of her role on Moms:

“I love that it’s a show about a woman reconnecting with her mother and how complicated that relationship is, as opposed to trying to get a guy to sort of fall for me. It feels weightier than some of the projects I’ve done in the past and at this time in my life.”

Anna explains that after becoming a mom herself, she wanted to reprioritize her life and take on a different sort of character than the one she portrayed in the Scary Movie franchise or even House Bunny. “I really wanted to play characters that gave me a different kind of fulfillment,” Anna says about why she was drawn to the script for Moms from the beginning. “I went in and met with [Lorre] and from page one, knew I wanted the role.”

Moms was picked up this spring for a second season, which will air this fall on CBS.
