Pantene Asks ‘Why Are Women Always Apologizing?’, Campaigns Them To Be Strong And Not Sorry [VIDEO]

Pantene, the company behind the popular hair product line, is asking women why they keep on apologizing, just to follow up that they should be strong and not be sorry.

In a related report by The Inquisitr, certain models have used the Pantene hair product line as an asset for their popularity. One such model is Gisele Bundchen, who is the highest paid model and made $42 million in 2012. Another model and actress, Sofia Vergara, also relies on her looks… besides her accent and boobs.

Back on subject, Pantene presented the video on their official Youtube channel. It shows scenarios of women who are constantly apologizing in situations which don’t warrant an apology. The first example is good because it appears the woman has a position of high authority. Other examples include interactions with spouses. From what I remember, a relationship – either it be a marriage or another intimate relationship (dating) – of that nature is a team. Anyways, here is what they state on their “about” tab:

“As women, we weaken our own strength (in ways men never do) at work, at home during moments in between. Sorry is more than just one, little, reflex word.

Please share with the women who shine in your life and help Pantene empower women everywhere. Because when you’re strong on the inside, you shine on the outside. And that’s a beautiful thing.”

Sounds like a very admirable cause for women right? They even have a new hashtag they want utilized (#ShineStrong), along with their Facebook and Twitter page.

So what do you think? Do you find this campaign to be an honest stance for women to empower themselves, not as a means to being better than the male gender, but more for their own strength and importance? Let us know in the comments below.
