Taylor Swift Acts Like A ‘Middle-Aged’ Woman, According To Ed Sheeran

Taylor Swift has been accused of acting like a “middle-aged” woman by her good friend, Ed Sheeran.

The musician joked that all Swift likes to do is hang-out “with her cat and sew things,” during an interview with Time Magazine. You can imagine that Swift will have taken his comment with good humor as the pair are close pals who have, in the past, even been linked romantically with one another.

Sheeran pointed out that Swift isn’t your typical 24-year-old, when the interviewer claimed that she was a “very crafty” woman. “I know she’s 24,” he started, “but she’s a sort of middle-aged woman trapped in a 24-year-old’s body. She hangs out with her cat and sews things.”

Sheeran then claimed that his “soul age” can range from either being “8 or 80,” depending on his mood.

Sheeran and Swift have something of an unbreakable friendship bond. In fact Swift almost single handedly helped to manifest Sheeran’s popularity in the US market thanks to her unashamed promotion of his songs. It also kind of helped that Sheeran wrote the stellar tracks too.

Last month Sheeran admitted that he owes a lot to Taylor, and he even proclaimed that “she owns the US pop scene.”

“She knows how to do it,” he declared, “In England I was a commercially successful artist, but coming into the US as an alternative artist playing shows with Snow Patrol. She not only opened the door into the pop world but showed me how to do it.”

Their friendship is so close that he even sends her his latest songs once he has finished writing just so that she can approve them. Last year he told MTV News, “Whenever I finished a song, I’d send it to her to get her opinion. She’s heard all the songs and she’s a good judge of what’s good or not good.”

Swift has also opened up on her own latest album, and she’s admitted that the follow-up to 2012’s Red is her “favorite” piece of work she’s ever created. “I’ve already been working very hard at it,” she noted, “and it’s already my favorite thing I’ve ever created. So the idea [is] that after Asia, I get to go back and finish everything and get everything completely done and wrapped up for a new project, it’s very exciting.”
