Google Worker Letter: Google Employee’s Daughter Sends Letter To His Boss Asking To Give Him A Day Off

A Google worker’s daughter wrote a letter to his boss asking to give him a day off work so she can celebrate his birthday with him. A Google spokesperson confirms the authenticity of this story to The Blaze and to the Huffington Post after news of the simple, but impressive letter was posted online.

On Thursday, the letter from the girl — Katie — began circulating the internet.

It reads:

“Dear google worker,

“Can you please make sure when daddy goes to work, he gets one day off. Like he can get a day off on wednesday. Because daddy ONLY gets a day off on saturday. P.S. It is daddy’s BIRTHDAY! P.P.S. It is summer you know!”

Google not only filled the employee’s daughter’s request, they went a step further. Daniel Shiplacoff from Google responds to the Katie’s letter by giving hr father a week off work.

His letter reads:

“Dear Katie,

“Thank you for your thoughtful note and request. Your father has been hard at work designing many beautiful and delightful things for Google and millions of people across the globe. On the occasion of his Birthday, and recognizing the importance of taking some Wednesdays off during the summer, we are giving him the whole first week of July as vacation time. Enjoy! Daniel Shiplacoff”

This is one of those stories that melts hearts and illustrates a child’s love for her father. The Google worker isn’t identified in the articles published by The Blaze and Huffington Post. The employee’s daughter is named Katie and his boss is named — Daniel Shiplacoff. The girl’s efforts paid off. Her letter written with a blue crayon was powerful enough to not only persuade her father’s boss to give her what she asks for, but he’s agrees to give her father six extra days off in addition to that.

The Inquisitr once reported on another letter that went viral when a little girl received a letter from God that the post office sent after her dog died. The 4-year-old girl’s dog died and she wrote a letter with instructions to God on how to care for her dog. As the report states, the post office sends yearly “Dear Santa” letters and rarely do they send ones that are from God.

As for the Google worker’s letter that’s grabbing everyone’s attention, this has a beautiful conclusion. Katie gets to see her dad have his birthday off as well as the week in which July 4th falls on.
