Bradley Cooper’s New Look For ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy’ And More

If you’re hoping to see some beefcake from Bradley Cooper in the new action film Guardians of the Galaxyyou might be slightly disappointed. While these action films usually have their gorgeous men front and center with their muscles and brawn, Guardians of the Galaxy is going in another direction when it comes to how they’re featuring Bradley Cooper.

In case you weren’t aware Bradley Cooper plays a bada– raccoon. Yes, you read that right. Instead of showing off his piercing blue gaze and his thousand watt smile Cooper will be featured as a humorous raccoon who joins the other action heroes, which include Star-Lord (Chris Pratt), Ronan the Accuser (Lee Pace), Gamora (Zoe Saldana), Nebula (Karen Gillan), and Groot (Vin Diesel).

In fact, the only person who resembles a human is Chris Pratt as Peter Quill aka Star-Lord, but that’s because he left Earth a long time ago. Even Pratt has changed his appearance from what everyone knows him as on the NBC sitcom Parks and Recreation. He’s traded his cuddly frame for a tight muscular look.

E! has learned despite all of that it’s Cooper’s raccoon who pretty much rules the roost of misfits. The upcoming Marvel film and potential Avengers crossover film features an unlikely hero in Pratt’s Quill who is very hesitant about joining the group of misfits after being on the run due to a stolen orb. Cooper steals any scene he’s spotted in the trailers. It isn’t surprising considering Rocket the Raccoon is a gun-toting rebel that no one wants to mess with despite his deceiving size.

Of voicing Rocket the Raccoon Bradley told Collider:

“One thing we debated was…he’s seen as a cockney accent sometimes, so we talked about whether we’d do that or do this sort of other guy from the city a little bit.”

As for Chris Pratt, Cooper said he is “unbelievable” and “blew him away.”

In addition to Guardians of the Galaxy it was just announced by Variety that Cooper is being joined by Sienna Miller in the film Chef. Now this is not Jon Favreau’s Chef, but rather the Weinstein Company’s film. The film is about a chef who puts together a crew to create the best restaurant ever. In addition to Cooper and Miller, Omar Sy will also star, and John Wells will direct the film.

For Miller this is the second time she’s joining Cooper. The two are also in the Clint Eastwood film American Sniper.
