‘American Horror Story: Freak Show’ Spoilers Point To A Promising New Season

Just last week we revealed a big tidbit on the upcoming season of American Horror Story: Freak Show. Of course we’re referring to Sarah Paulson revealing her conjoined twins character via Twitter. Apparently, that huge and unexpected reveal is leading to a few more spoilers for the upcoming American Horror Story: Freak Show.

According to E!, FX recently released character breakdowns for three important characters that will be featured on American Horror Story: Freak Show. So what can we look forward to for season four?

A character named Larry is described as “comedic.” There’s Bobby who’s an “extremely, extremely tall man” who will play the “gentle giant” archetype. A third character is Sammy, who’s a mysterious character that will require an actor to use prosthetics. As far as prosthetics go, it’s something Ryan Murphy and co only really played with in earlier seasons. Think Chloë Sevigny as the patient turned gruesome lab experiment in American Horror Story: Asylum.

The only other actress revealing a bit of what we can look forward to for American Horror Story’s next season is Angela Bassett. Although she’s remained coy she has been very talkative about whether or not she can top Marie Laveau from season three.

Of the voodoo queen she said:

‘It’s going to be tough, tough, tough to surpass Marie Laveau, it really is. She was truly a special phenomenon.”

She continued to divulge:

“All [Ryan] has told me is I’m not the bearded lady, but he said, ‘Oh it’s better!” The only thing we can promise about her character on American Horror Story: Freak Show is that it will certainly involve heights. The actress added that although she doesn’t know much Ryan Murphy did call to ask her if she was afraid of heights. Of course Bassett is up for anything, with the exception of one character.

“I hope I’m not the ticket taker!’

As we previously reported, American Horror Story: Freak Show is set in Florida in the 1950s. Jessica Lange’s character is in charge and will lead a group of “unusuals” in a freak show. Although Bassett is not a bearded lady, someone certainly will be as that’s a character that has been talked about for the new season.

In addition to Jessica Lange, Angela Bassett and Sarah Paulson, this season will see familiar faces when Evan Peters, Emma Roberts, Denis O’Hare, Kathy Bates, Jamie Brewer, and Gabourey Sidibe all return for the fourth season. A new addition that everyone is excited by is Michael Chiklis, who will play Peters’ father and Kathy Bates’ ex.
