The Story Of What This Man Does For A Dying Fox Will Make Your Day And Break Your Heart All At The Same Time

This story of a man that rescues a fox is sure to break your heart, so be ready.

Posted by reddit user Isisis, the user explains that as his friend was riding his bike into town he came across a fox that had been hit by a car. Wanting to help the injured fox, the man quickly realized that there was nothing could do, so he just sat on the side of the road and showed him compassion in his final moments.

His description of the event is below:

“This morning on my bike ride into town I came upon this fox that had just been hit by a car. His eyes were slowy opening and closing, he was shaking out of control and his heart was beating out of his chest.

All I wanted to do was help him but I quickly realized there was nothing I could do so I sat down next to him and gave him the warmth and company that I think I would appreciate if I was in that situation. His eyes closed for good, the shaking was down to a minimum and as I rubbed his little head to comfort him, I literally watched his last heart beat.

RIP little guy the world will miss you.”

However, the story takes a hopeful turn as the man returned eight hours later to a miraculous sight, finding the fox alive and breathing!

“Went back to move his body 8 hours later and oh my god he is alive!” he writes.

Wondering what he should do, he asks fellow users, “heading to the vet, does any one else have any better suggestions?”

The man left for the hospital, leaving many that had been following the story in suspense as they awaited the outcome of the fox that fought his way back.

Unfortunately, the hopeful would soon be let down as they learned the fate of the fox.

“Okay so the fox had multiple broken bones and most of them were on his back and neck. His organs were also destroyed so they put him to sleep peacefully,” he posted.

Adding, “they said if I didn’t bring him in he would of suffered for days possibly. I tried,” he continued.

Reminiscent of the story of the man that helped ease the pain his dog was experiencing at the end of his life, the compassion that the man showed for the animal is inspiring and uplifting to say the least.

While the story did not turn out as many had hoped, it’s at least good news that this man was able to save the little fox the from the possibility of days suffering on the side of the road.
