Kris Jenner Talks Jay Z, Beyonce Wedding No-Show
Kris Jenner is doing a lot of explaining over the past few days on a variety of different topics, and after two and a half weeks, the Keeping Up With The Kardashian’s matriarch addressed the rumors flying around regarding Jay Z and Beyonce’s noticeable absence from daughter Kim’s wedding on May 24th.
According to US Weekly, Kris Jenner spoke with Kyle and Jackie O from the Australia radio station KIIS 106.5 and she seemed rather nonchalant about the topic of good friends, Jay Z and Beyonce, not making an appearance for the wedding between Kim Kardashian and Kanye West.
“There was so much commotion and excitement, I never really gave that a second thought,” the 58-year told the radio hosts. “If you had been there you would have thought that was the last thing on anyone’s mind.”
According to a previous report by The Inquisitr, Beyonce and Jay Z skipped out on Kim and Kanye’s wedding and decided to spend Memorial Day weekend in the Hamptons with their daughter. There were many reasons floating around as to why the power couple decided not to attend the weeding of their good friends, but many revolved around the fact that the couple wanted some time out of the spotlight after the Jay Z and Solange Knowles elevator fight.
“Apparently Beyoncé and Jay-Z may have chosen to skip the wedding for the Hamptons because of another wedding guest. Fashion designer Rachel Roy might have been the driving force between the fight between Jay-Z and Solange Knowles. Sources say that Jay-Z didn’t want to cause any drama at Kimye’s wedding — and so he decided to sit this one out.”
Other reports have claimed that Jay Z just wasn’t interested in attending the event. According to Radar Online, a source claims that Jay Z “thinks the entire Kimye wedding is a joke and it’s being blown way out of proportion.”
“He likes Kanye and Kim, but totally talks smack about them behind their backs. When he was asked about the wedding he just laughed and said, ‘The circus goes to Paris!'” the insider said.
According to US Weekly, Kris Jenner continued on to say that she wasn’t worried that Beyonce and Jay Z didn’t attend the wedding. “[I] just assumed they were working,” Jenner added, noting that Bey and Jay passed on their well wishes. Beyonce even took to her Instagram account and posted her congratulation’s to the newlywed couple just moments after they said their “I do’s”.
“Wishing you a lifetime of unconditional love,” she wrote, along with a picture of the couple and their daughter North West from their April Vogue issue. “God bless your beautiful family.”
