Rihanna, Chris Martin Have Dinner: Is Chris Martin Still With Gwyneth Paltrow?

Rihanna and Chris Martin enjoyed dinner together at Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica, California on Sunday. According to Us Weekly, the pair shared a meal as “friends.” The two arrived in separate vehicles around 9 pm and sat together at a table in the corner for about two hours. Despite the report claiming that the two are just friends, another report claims that RiRi and the Coldplay front man were flirting and seemed to be having a very intimate time together.

A source told X17 Online:

“They were leaning in to each other, laughing and being flirty. Rihanna kept pushing her hair out of her face and Chris appeared to be almost whispering in her ear. They looked cute together – maybe they’re working on a new project; maybe they’re trying to make certain people jealous or maybe they’re actually dating. I was surprised to see them together!”

Rihanna and Chris Martin have collaborated on music projects in the past, so if they were going to do another song together, it wouldn’t be surprising. Of course people are going to talk about them sharing a meal, mainly because Martin recently split from his wife, Gwyneth Paltrow. While many believed that their split would turn into a divorce filing, things haven’t gotten that far just yet. As previously reported by The Inquisitr, Martin and Paltrow are still living together.

Their relationship goes beyond living arrangements and co-parenting their kids, however. This past weekend, the pair were spotted sharing a meal at Malibu Farm. According to Mail Online, the two were “very” close and “giggling” together. That certainly doesn’t sound like things are “over” between them.

Gwyneth Paltrow announced her and Chris Martin’s decision to split on her website on March 25:

“It is with hearts full of sadness that we have decided to separate. We have been working hard for well over a year, some of it together, some of it separated, to see what might have been possible between us, and we have come to the conclusion that while we love each other very much we will remain separate. We are, however, and always will be a family, and in many ways we are closer than we have ever been.”

Evidently Paltrow wasn’t kidding. She and Martin have been spotted out together more times over the past few weeks than they have over the past year. They seem to be getting along great — but are they technically still a couple? That’s unclear. Perhaps the reality of a split made them realize that they wanted to be together. Who knows?
