WWE News: When All Three Members Of The Shield Will Face Off

As the wrestling world knows by now, WWE Superstar Seth Rollins turned his back on his Shield brothers. It shocked many and made many of us wonder why. Rollins has yet to give an answer as to why, saying he does not owe anyone an explanation. Many have wondered when all three members of the now defunct Shield group will face off. According to the Wrestling News Observer, the match was supposed to take place at Money in the Bank.

There was a problem with this however. Number one, it would not make much sense to have Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, and Roman Reigns in one match together. It would basically be a handicap match against Rollins. There would be no realistic way that Triple H would allow Rollins to do this going by a storyline perspective. That being said, the match may not take place for a while. All members would have to have a beef with the other. That means that for now, since Rollins is the only one with real heat on him, the match with all three cannot happen.

There is a silver lining however.

It is now rumored that Reigns will take on Randy Orton at Money in the Bank, while Ambrose will take on Rollins. This would allow the WWE to keep things sensible and allow themselves to have two matches instead of one. The WWE can then think up ways to have a triple threat go down.

There was an idea that Rollins would be in the Money in the Bank Ladder match, and that could still be the case. They might use his match with Ambrose as a qualifier similar to how they used Daniel Bryan’s match with Triple H at WrestleMania 30. The winner of that match went on to be in the main event of the show. They could have Rollins do this with Ambrose. Of course, Rollins does not need to be Mr. Money in the Bank. WWE could always find a way to use him well.

The cool thing is that he and Dean now have a rivalry set up. In their FCW/NXT days, they were known rivals who hated each other and had amazing matches with one another. I can only imagine the type of stuff the two would do on the main roster with more experience under their belts.

Whether this match takes place at Money in the Bank like it is planned or on RAW, it is expected to be a show stealing performance. Meanwhile Reigns could work well in a match or two with Orton. Clearly the two are both the stars of Evolution and Shield at this point. So it does make sense that the two would face off. Reigns would then potentially beat Orton and move on to face Triple H around SummerSlam time.

What happens with Ambrose and Rollins is up in the air at this point. It could go in various ways with the two. Rollins is set for a big role in the coming year while Ambrose’s talent will make him shine a lot.

For now, we will have to wait on the WWE to give us the triple threat we have wanted to see. Many “in the know” believe that it will happen before the end of the year however. All I can say is, I cannot wait.
