Kelly Kapowski Crush Leads To Awesome Present For Chris Paul

Kelly Kapowski will always hold a special place in Chris Paul’s heart — and now a special place on his wall, too.

The Los Angeles Clippers guard turned 29 last month, but this week was given a poster of the Saved By The Bell hottie, direct from actress Tiffani Thiessen herself. The actress who played Kapowski on the popular NBC show sent Paul the autographed picture of Kelly in all her big-hair, early 90s glory.

Tiffani even signed it, “Chris, Happy Birthday my dear”

Chris Paul showed off the Kelly Kapowski poster on his Instagram account Tuesday along with the excited caption, “This is easily one of the best Bday gifts I’ve ever received in my 29yrs on this Earth!!! #KellyKapowski #My1stLove #WeWereTogether #SheJustDidntKnowIt #CuzImSavedByTheBell.”

Paul’s followers were just as excited about the gifts, as the picture quickly got close to 70,000 likes and thousands of comments. The story was also picked up by news outlets nationwide, leading to a wave of nostalgia for Saved By The Bell and Kelly in particular.

Chris Paul isn’t the only one who can’t seem to get enough of Kelly Kapowski. Thiessen has amassed more than 272,000 Twitter followers, many of whom have left messages hoping for a Saved By The Bell reunion.

Count Dennis Haskins, who played Bayside High School principal Mr. Belding on the show, among those hoping to see the gang get back together.

The actor told TMZ:

“I have always supported a reunion of any kind including all of us. Honestly, the fans still love us and our show so much … they deserve it!”

Mark Paul Gosselaar has also spoken up, saying if the Boy Meets World spin-off, Girl Meets World, performs well, then “maybe we’ll do a reunion as well.”

If it means he gets a chance to see Kelly Kapowski again, Chris Paul is likely on board too.
