Ray J is in trouble with the law following his arrest on Friday night after an altercation with a woman at the bar in the Beverly Wilshire Hotel.
Even though his birth name, William Ray Norwood Jr. isn't quite as gangsta as the name Ray J, getting arrested is.
Then again, when you read what the singer and reality TV star got arrested for, you may not be giving him too much street cred for it. According to the police report, Ray J was arrested following a complaint to police that he grabbed a woman's butt!
After officers received the call, they went to the hotel at around 7:30 p.m to have words with the suspect. Following some questioning, the officers on the scene concluded that the butt grab was a pure accident and nothing more sinister.
The officers advised Ray J to leave the hotel, but then, police said, when he went to retrieve his car from the valet he became aggressive with the staff of the hotel.
A statement from the Beverly Hills Police Department noted that: "He subsequently entered the valet area and became belligerent with the valets and refused to leave."
Even though hotel security asked Ray J to leave the premises quietly he refused, and was subsequently arrested. He was taken into custody, and put in the back of the police car.
Unfortunately, matters took a turn for the worse as the arrested Ray J tried to smash a window of the car: "He became belligerent and used his feet to shatter the side window of the police vehicle," said the police statement.
He was then removed from the vehicle, and things turned even more dramatic as officers attempted to restrain his feet to stop him from kicking. At that point, the police report notes, "he became combative and spat into the face of one of the officers."
For that little trick, Ray J got the book thrown at him, and is being charged with trespassing, vandalism, resisting arrest, and battery on a police officer; his bail was set at $20,000.
