50 Cent’s First Pitch May Well Be One Of The Worst Ever [Video]

50 Cent’s first pitch during Tuesday’s Mets game has drawn a lot of attention, but perhaps not the kind he intended. In fact, many are saying the rapper’s toss may have been one of the worst first pitches ever thrown. Could it really have been that bad?

E! Online shared the scoop on 50 Cent’s first pitch that missed the mark. The pitch went “Just a bit outside” as the commentator joked, and the catcher never had a shot at catching this one. Luckily it doesn’t seem that the rapper let himself get too worked up over the failed toss as he was seen laughing it off afterwards.

The rapper, real name Curtis Jackson, managed to poke fun at himself over the worst first pitch ever once he got back on Twitter. Though many are getting a good laugh over 50 Cent’s pitch at his expense, the rapper scoffed that he’s “a hustler not a D*mn ball player. LMAO.” He also joked via Instagram, “The sh!t almost hit the camera man d*mn, if you look close you can see them moving the plate. Lol.”

To his credit, it seems Jackson did put some effort into this one ahead of the big moment. TMZ shared the video of 50 Cent’s pre-game warmup where he was throwing some pretty solid pitches. Most wouldn’t imagine the rapper as being the type to let nerves get the best of him, but that may well have been the case.

50 Cent certainly managed to do it in style, even if he completely missed the mark. Jackson, who of course was wearing a personalized Mets jersey bearing the number 50, went on to sign autographs and pose for pictures with fans after the wild pitch.

Of course, 50 Cent’s first pitch debacle is hardly the first time he’s been in the headlines nor will it be the last. Curtis Jackson recently generated buzz when it was said that he blew off his son’s graduation, but 50 Cent claimed that he wasn’t given the details. The rapper certainly has his moments of being mixed up in drama, whether it be family, music or relationship worries, but these headlines are certainly of a much more entertaining nature.

As embarrassing as 50 Cent’s first pitch may have been, drawing comparisons to it being in the league of the worst first pitches ever, he doesn’t seem to be worrying about it. It’s clear from Curtis Jackson’s Twitter page that he’s much more focused on his new album release than his Mets first pitch. Animal Ambition is set to be released on June 3.
