Father Beat 14-Year-Old Daughter After She Chose Black Teenager As Dance Partner

A father has been accused of beating his 14-year-old daughter because she picked a black teenager as her dancing partner.

37-year-old Aaron Aranza is believed to have slapped his offspring with a belt after he learned of her dancing decision. The incident took place in Houston, Texas, at her maternal grandmother’s house, where a party had taken place, and she had started to practice quinceanera dancing.

According to the Houston Chronicle, police have said that after the unnamed Aranza daughter chose her friend, a 15-year-old African-American boy, to be her dance partner, Aaron exited the soiree and became increasingly angry.

Aaron festered outside the house, where people had gathered to enjoy the event, and he then abruptly informed them that the party was over and had been “canceled.”

After returning inside, he asked her why she had chosen the boy as her dance partner, and it’s believed that he even used a racial slur to describe him. He said to his daughter, “Are you serious?” when she said that he was her friend, and then he allegedly pushed the boy and proclaimed, “I don’t care that you are a kid.”

Aaron then reportedly hit his daughter with a belt and dragged her across the room before throwing her down onto the ground so hard that she hit her arm on a nearby coffee table.

Aaron, who had long ago split from her daughter’s mother, then insisted that he would take her home with him, even though she actually lives with her mom. He is also believed to have dragged her across the garden in front of shocked guests before furiously leaving.

Revellers then reported his antics to police, and officers later arrested him on charges of injury to a child. He paid the $20,000 bail on Tuesday and left the Harris County Jail. It’s not known what sort of injuries Aranza’s daughter suffered during the domestic attack.
