Lisa Edelstein From ‘House’ Is Married

Actress Lisa Edelstein, who played Dr. Lisa Cuddy on the television show House, married artist Robert Russell on Sunday, May 25.

People reported that Lisa got hitched in Los Angeles and exchanged gold weddings bands designed by local celebrity jeweler Neil Lane.

A friend of Edelstein told People, “They’re very happy, very loving.”

According to E! Online, Lisa and her husband exchanged vows under an elegant chuppah before saying “I do.” This special event in Lisa’s life came shortly after her 48th birthday on May 21.

Lisa Edelstein recently talked about her relationship to Russell in an interview with ScreenRant.com:

“We know each other really quite well now. We’ve been working together for over seven years, which in our line of work is like dog years – it’s like 49 years. I really feel like our friendship as people – as we got to know each other better – this kind of intimacy between the characters was an easier thing to do than if it started with day one and just kind of jumped in and pretended to know each other. It’s been great.

Edelstein will soon be starring in Bravo’s first scripted series, Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce. The show, which is produced by Buffy The Vampire Slayer producer Marti Noxon, will be based on the book series by the same name. Edelstein will play Abby McCarthy, a successful author of self-help books who is coping with the separation from her husband. The show will premiere in 2015.

Edelstein portrayed Dr. Lisa Cuddy on the Fox medical drama House for seven seasons, according to Us Magazine. Lisa eventually left the show in 2011 and joined the casts of the shows The Good Wife, Elementary, Scandal, House of Lies and Castle. Edelstein can also be seen in various successful films such as What Women Want, As Good As It Gets and Daddy Day Care.
