Tina Turner Stroke: Hoax Or The Real Deal?

In recent news, Tina Turner, who is 74, reportedly suffered a stroke. The “What’s Love Got To Do With It” singer has gone on the record to deny the news.

Turner, who currently lives in Switzerland, was said to have been suffering from the effects of a stroke, when the news leaked to several European publications.

An agent for the entertainer slammed the reports claiming that ‘the fact is that Tina enjoys excellent health.’

A German publication, however, released a statement from the star’s driver, Albert B. Cologne, who confirmed, “She (Tina) had a mild stroke, but is well on the road to recovery.” Cologne also offered, “Tina had to cancel her holiday to recover, she has already managed a smile for her partner Erwin Bach.”

However, it would seem that the report is erroneous. The publication which originally ran the story has since removed the story from their website. Furthermore, Turner’s agent claims that she has never had a driver named Albert B. Cologne.

In somewhat related news, Tina Turner, who has lived in Switzerland for several years, recently lent her voice to three songs that will appear on an album titled Beyond: Love Within. The self-professed Buddhist sang the following hymns on the album, which is set for release in August: “Amazing Grace,” “The Lord’s Prayer” and “Motherless Child.” She went on record to say the following about her work on the album:

“Personally, it’s something I’m very proud of. Hopefully, this project will teach people how to use what they’re born with to help themselves and help the world — and therefore there will be more world peace.”

It has been nearly fifteen years since Proud Mary has released any new work. In 1999, she recorded the album Twenty Four Seven and toured extensively to promote it before officially retiring to her Swiss chateau.

Fans of Turner’s can breathe a sigh of relief as it appears that the singer is in perfectly good health and is enjoying her life in Switzerland to the fullest.
