After a weekend filled with close friends, family and love, the Kim and Kanye wedding news continues. After their small but lavish ceremony in Italy at the Forte di Belvedere, the couple boarded a private jet and were later spotted in Ireland.
The couple, who are affectionately referred to as ‘Kimye,’ were met by a fleet of limousines as their flight touched down at Cork Airport yesterday. The limos took the newlyweds to an undisclosed location where it is said that they will spend a majority of their honeymoon over the next five days. The rumor is that the two will stay at a private estate in Munster. The 33-year-old reality TV star and her new 36-year-old rapper husband may be staying at the ultra-exclusive five-star Castlemartyr Resort.
A stay in the presidential suite at the Castlemartyr country manor would run around $70,000, mere chump change for the 21-time Grammy award winner. The resort is a reported 220 acres of sprawling Irish real estate with a 10 room treatment spa, fitness studio, golf course, and four restaurants to choose from. All of this is surrounded by medieval castle ruins. What better place for a honeymoon fit for the entertainment royalty known as Kimye?
Though the couple has managed to remain relatively hush-hush about their honeymoon itinerary, it is suspected that they will spend some time in Dublin. After that, the couple will reportedly fly back to the states on Friday. The UK Daily Mail caught wind of news that Kim and Kanye may cut their honeymoon short to attend the nuptials of Kanye’s stylist in Prague.
Reportedly, the couple’s young daughter North is spending the week with her grandma Kris and the rest of the Kardashian clan while her mom and dad spend the week in Ireland. According to reports, the honeymoon destination was suggested by Kris and Bruce Jenner, who spent their honeymoon in Ireland after they wed in 1991. The decision to spend their post-nuptials in Ireland might also be attributed to the fact that Kim and Kanye have previously spent time there. For Kanye’s 35th birthday, the two spent time in Ireland while he was on tour. Kim blogged about her experience saying that ‘I’ve really enjoyed my time in Ireland.’
