Dana White: Ronda Rousey Would Badly Hurt Floyd Mayweather

Dana White, the UFC president, believes that Ronda Rousey would badly hurt Floyd Mayweather if they were to fight.

In a related article by The Inquisitr, the possibility of a Ronda Rousey versus Floyd Mayweather fight flooded the mixed martial arts world. Even some prominent names in UFC have voiced their opinions. Joe Rogan, for example, believes that Ronda would defeat Floyd easily. It also isn’t helping that nobody is putting in any favor for the boxer. Pretty much, almost everyone believes that Ronda would come out on top.

Fox News actually weighed in on what Dana White believes. He did say that Mayweather would of course dominate in his own sport. However, put Mayweather in the octagon and he’s a fish out of water. Not only would Rousey win, but she would win big. Actually, Dana referred to it as domination in the following statement:

“Listen, I get it. It’s hard for guys to wrap their brains around that one. Ronda wouldn’t beat him. She’d hurt him badly. She’d hurt him badly.”

The only people who would doubt Dana’s words are sexist men who always believe men will always beat a woman in a combat sport. However, Mayweather has experience only in boxing. MMA is more like a street fight. Generally, in a street fight, anything goes. Let’s see Mayweather try to keep his composure in battle after his leg is swept from underneath him. Even Dana admitted that Rousey would beat him in a fight:

“She’ll kick the living s*** out of me. And you. And everybody else standing here, whether you like it or not.”

International Business Times presented a prime example of why Floyd Mayweather wouldn’t be able to handle a MMA fight, and they used a boxing match as an example. Mayweather’s last fight was against Argentinean boxer Marcos Maidana. Mayweather’s father described Maidana as a dirty fighter who fights like he is in a MMA bout. Maidana even did something to Mayweather – a boxer most of his fans believe is invincible – that no other boxer has: he cut his eye.

In the end, this is all speculation and rumor-hyping. It may be doubtful that Mayweather would even want to fight Rousey in her environment. With no formal training, he probably knows he’ll stand no chance. Not to mention Mayweather has a thing for “picking fights.” Most boxing fans believe he picks fights that he has an advantage in. That is why Mayweather avoided Pacquiao for the longest time.
