Santa Barbara Shooting Started In Elliot Rodger’s Home, Three More Bodies Found In Isla Vista Apartment

The Santa Barbara shooting spree started in the apartment of Elliot Rodger. Police have found three more bodies connected to the Isla Vista shooting, which brings the number of the dead victims up to nine.

In a related report by The Inquisitr, Hunger Games director Peter Rodger has already released a family statement about the mass shooting. Already, Asperger Syndrome and autism is being linked to the crime, and the Rodger family also claims that more gun control laws would have prevented deaths. Mr. Rodger has also publicly attacked the NRA, asking them about his son’s “right to live.”

Right before Elliot Rodger started the Santa Barbara shooting spree, he recorded multiple YouTube videos that described his rage against women. Even some Reddit users red-flagged his activities online, pointing out that the young man seemed to be unhinged. But, Elliot also released a manifesto that explained his plans for murder in detail:

“I take great pleasure in slaughtering all of you… You will finally see that I am, in truth, the superior one, the true alpha male… I’ll take to the streets of Isla Vista and slay every single person I see there. All those popular kids who live such lives of hedonistic pleasure while I’ve had to rot in loneliness all these years… Well, now I will be a god compared to you, you will all be animals, you are animals and I will slaughter you like animals. I’ll be a god exacting my retribution on all those who deserve it and you do deserve it just for the crime of living a better life than me.”

The 141 page murder manifesto described in detail how the Santa Barbara shooting spree would start at the Capri Apartment building on Seville Road near Embarcadero del Mar. The first victims would be Rodger’s roommates who lived with him in apartment 7. Then he planned on going after girls in the UC Santa Barbara:

“I will attack the very girls who represent everything I hate in the female gender: The hottest sorority of UCSB.”

The document also revealed that he’d planned his shooting spree way in advance, and when the police visited him, he was afraid they would find his guns and writings:

“That would have ended everything. For a few horrible seconds, I thought it was all over.”

Although it’s reported that Elliot had only two roommates, Sheriff Bill Brown says three bodies were recovered from the apartment:

“The three male victims were apparently stabbed repeatedly with sharp objects and it was a pretty horrific crime scene.”

Andy Park is a resident of the apartment complex who says he knew Elliot Rodger although they were not friends. Park describes Elliot as generally being unfriendly:

“This is all literally happening right outside of my house. The few times I’ve seen him around, like living in the complex, he would sort of like mugs, and like stares. He wasn’t really like a nice face. He didn’t even like say hello or anything. I am sort of surprised, even though he kept to himself like I really wouldn’t think that it wouldn’t come down to something like this. You know what I’m saying? It’s just like insane. It’s just crazy.”

Officer Brown did not identify any of the new victims nor have they confirmed exactly when they died, although it’s believed they were killed before Rodger began his drive-by shootings in the Isla Vista area. The police investigated the apartment for 14 hours before boarding up the door of apartment 7.
